Designing a World

The main menu and toolbar provide options for common tasks, like opening and saving world files. Below the toolbar are three panes: the object toolbox, the main viewscreen, and the satellite viewscreen.

- To add an object to the world, click on the desired object in the object toolbox, drag it onto either of the viewscreens, and release.

- To select an object, click on it. To select multiple objects, hold down the [Ctrl] key as you click.

- To move an object, click and drag it to another position on either of the viewscreens.

- To remove an object, drag and drop it off the viewscreen.

- To move multiple objects together, select them, then drag one of them (using the [Ctrl] key when you click it) to another position. All the selected objects will move along with it.

- If you right-click on an object, you'll get a pop-up box where you can enter the exact position of an object (its X, Y, and Z coordinates), as well as its heading (the direction it faces) in degrees, where 0 is North. (If you hold down the [Ctrl] key when you right-click on an object and multiple objects are selected, you can set the heading of all those objects at once.)

- You can freely "move around" in the world by right-clicking somewhere in the main viewscreen and dragging. To slide/strafe sideways, hold down the [Ctrl] key as you drag.

When you're done with your world, save or copy the .world file to your My Documents\Bots\Worlds folder so that it will be available for selection when setting up a game in the Game Viewer.
